32 Paths of Wisdom & utterances of Elohim in the Book of Genesis

The thirty-two paths of wisdom—ten sephiroth and twenty-two letters—unfold the divine architecture of the cosmos.

1. Genesis 1:1
• Hebrew: בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ
• English: In the beginning, Elohim created the heavens and the earth.
2. Genesis 1:2
• Hebrew: וְרוּחַ אֱלֹהִים מְרַחֶפֶת עַל-פְּנֵי הַמָּיִם
• English: And the Spirit of Elohim hovered over the face of the waters.
3. Genesis 1:3
• Hebrew: וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים יְהִי אוֹר וַיְהִי-אוֹר
• English: And Elohim said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4. Genesis 1:4
• Hebrew: וַיַּרְא אֱלֹהִים אֶת-הָאוֹר כִּי-טוֹב
• English: And Elohim saw the light, that it was good.
5. Genesis 1:4
• Hebrew: וַיַּבְדֵּל אֱלֹהִים בֵּין הָאוֹר וּבֵין הַחֹשֶׁךְ
• English: And Elohim separated the light from the darkness.
6. Genesis 1:5
• Hebrew: וַיִּקְרָא אֱלֹהִים לָאוֹר יוֹם וְלַחֹשֶׁךְ קָרָא לָיְלָה
• English: And Elohim called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night.
7. Genesis 1:6
• Hebrew: וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים יְהִי רָקִיעַ בְּתוֹךְ הַמָּיִם
• English: And Elohim said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters.”
8. Genesis 1:7
• Hebrew: וַיַּעַשׂ אֱלֹהִים אֶת-הָרָקִיעַ
• English: And Elohim made the firmament.
9. Genesis 1:8
• Hebrew: וַיִּקְרָא אֱלֹהִים לָרָקִיעַ שָׁמָיִם
• English: And Elohim called the firmament Heaven.
10. Genesis 1:9
• Hebrew: וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים יִקָּווּ הַמַּיִם מִתַּחַת הַשָּׁמַיִם
• English: And Elohim said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together.”
11. Genesis 1:10
• Hebrew: וַיִּקְרָא אֱלֹהִים לַיַּבָּשָׁה אֶרֶץ
• English: And Elohim called the dry land Earth.
12. Genesis 1:10
• Hebrew: וַיַּרְא אֱלֹהִים כִּי-טוֹב
• English: And Elohim saw that it was good.
13. Genesis 1:11
• Hebrew: וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים תַּדְשֵׁא הָאָרֶץ דֶּשֶׁא
• English: And Elohim said, “Let the earth bring forth grass.”
14. Genesis 1:12
• Hebrew: וַיַּרְא אֱלֹהִים כִּי-טוֹב
• English: And Elohim saw that it was good.
15. Genesis 1:14
• Hebrew: וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים יְהִי מְאֹרֹת בִּרְקִיעַ הַשָּׁמַיִם
• English: And Elohim said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens.”
16. Genesis 1:16
• Hebrew: וַיַּעַשׂ אֱלֹהִים אֶת-שְׁנֵי הַמְּאֹרֹת הַגְּדֹלִים
• English: And Elohim made the two great lights.
17. Genesis 1:17
• Hebrew: וַיִּתֵּן אֹתָם אֱלֹהִים בִּרְקִיעַ הַשָּׁמָיִם
• English: And Elohim set them in the firmament of the heavens.
18. Genesis 1:18
• Hebrew: וַיַּרְא אֱלֹהִים כִּי-טוֹב
• English: And Elohim saw that it was good.
19. Genesis 1:20
• Hebrew: וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים יִשְׁרְצוּ הַמַּיִם שֶׁרֶץ נֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה
• English: And Elohim said, “Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures.”
20. Genesis 1:21
• Hebrew: וַיִּבְרָא אֱלֹהִים אֶת-הַתַּנִּינִם הַגְּדֹלִים
• English: And Elohim created the great sea creatures.

• Hebrew: וַיַּרְא אֱלֹהִים כִּי-טוֹב
• English: And Elohim saw that it was good.
22. Genesis 1:22
• Hebrew: וַיְבָרֶךְ אֹתָם אֱלֹהִים לֵאמֹר

• Hebrew: וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים תּוֹצֵא הָאָרֶץ נֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה
• English: And Elohim said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures.”
24. Genesis 1:25
• Hebrew: וַיַּעַשׂ אֱלֹהִים אֶת-חַיַּת הָאָרֶץ
• English: And Elohim made the beasts of the earth.
25. Genesis 1:25
• Hebrew: וַיַּרְא אֱלֹהִים כִּי-טוֹב
• English: And Elohim saw that it was good.
26. Genesis 1:26
• Hebrew: וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים נַעֲשֶׂה אָדָם בְּצַלְמֵנוּ
• English: And Elohim said, “Let us make man in our image.”

• English: And Elohim created man in His image.

30. Genesis 1:31

• English: And Elohim saw everything that He had made.
