Strength Under Vow
Chivalry is the re-formation of force through courtesy, courage, self-command, truthfulness, and protection of the vulnerable. It does not glorify violence; it places strength under a vow of service. The sacred warrior faces the beast within before confronting the dragon without. This is why the knight’s armor, weapons, and trials are moral symbols: power must become disciplined enough to guard, not dominate.
