Galahad is predestined purity: already fitted to the Grail, attaining through spiritual perfection. Percival is innocent yet ignorant: he fails, wanders, suffers, learns compassion, and returns. Galahad is the archetype of perfected purity. Percival is the more universal image of actual initiation—the Exiled Prince becoming worthy through failure.
