What Ails Thee?
The Knight does not heal the King by conquest, possession, magic, or secret knowledge. The Knight heals by asking the right question. Percival’s failure is not lack of courage but lack of living compassion. He sees the wound and remains silent. The Quest forms the person who can finally see another’s suffering and ask what hurts. The Wizard seeks answers. The Knight learns to ask. The Grail answers not intellectual possession, but reverent attention.
