The Perils of Sacred Force
Knighthood casts shadows: violence, pride, crusading fanaticism, domination, possessiveness, honor obsession, vengeance, conquest, and savior complex. Sacred-warrior imagery remains morally serious only under the Christic criterion: Does strength protect Love, or use Love as justification for strength? The Dark Knight is not always outside the realm; the shadow may ride beneath its own banner.
