The Grail Knight is formed through practice, failure, and renewed service. The seven virtues below give the Royal Art a clear pattern for that formation.
Seven virtues
- Courage: enter the unknown and face danger without abandoning the quest.
- Faith: remain faithful to the Good when the path is unclear.
- Temperance: govern appetite, anger, pride, and the wish to possess.
- Justice: use strength to protect the vulnerable and repair wrongs.
- Humility: accept correction and release the claim to mastery.
- Compassion: attend to suffering and ask what healing requires.
- Love: direct every other virtue toward communion and service.
The sacred vow
The knight vows to seek truth, keep faith, defend those placed in danger, honor persons as more than roles in his quest, and use power for the healing of the Kingdom. The vow is renewed whenever he falls short.
Stages of formation
Warrior strength becomes knightly honor. Honor becomes self-offering. Self-offering becomes compassionate vision. The Grail Knight returns with that vision to serve the world that sent him forth.
