Beatitudes, Lord's Prayer
The Law of the Kingdom
The Sermon on the Mount gathers the form of Christic life: poverty of spirit, meekness, mercy, purity of heart, peacemaking, secret prayer, forgiveness, non-retaliation, freedom from Mammon, and building upon the Rock. “Seek first the Kingdom” gives the whole teaching its order. Its hardest command is love of enemies. In the ACIM reading, this asks still more: can the mind cease making an enemy at all? Enemy-perception belongs to projection and separation; Christ’s correction sees the call for Love beneath attack.
