“We find ourselves situated within a cultural milieu that arguably epitomizes materialism to a degree unparalleled in history. Yet, paradoxically, our endeavor is to unravel the mysteries of a civilization that epitomized the least material aspects of existence. Naturally, such a task presents formidable challenges” - Gordon White
Egypt is the civilization of preserved sacred memory.
Whether historically exact or mythically magnified, later Western esotericism repeatedly looks back to Egypt as an ancient keeper of:
- sacred kingship;
- death and resurrection;
- temple initiation;
- magic;
- hieroglyphic wisdom;
- cosmic order;
- divine names;
- alchemical imagery.
So within the Royal Art’s sacred history, Egypt functions as a great repository of pre-Abrahamic memory.
