Discipleship Beyond Imitation
To follow Christ is more than copying an external model or obeying a rule from fear. It is a free participation in the Way: listening, receiving guidance, practicing forgiveness, consenting to truth, and allowing love to take a distinctive form through one’s own vocation. The disciple is not erased. Each person’s gifts, wounds, relationships, and service become a particular expression of the one Christic life.
