Love Enters the Place of Violence
The Cross reveals what fear, accusation, domination, and collective scapegoating do to the innocent. It also reveals a love that does not answer violence by becoming violent in return. Christic forgiveness is not denial of harm or refusal of justice. It breaks the cycle in which guilt is expelled onto another, opening the possibility of truth, repentance, reconciliation, and repair.
