I think the serpent needs a synthetic page distinguishing its multiple meanings.
The serpent is not simply evil in the Western tradition.
It can mean:
- wisdom;
- life;
- healing;
- kundalini;
- cyclic time;
- cunning;
- temptation;
- immortality;
- chaos;
- dragon power;
- ouroboric self-enclosure.
The fallen serpent may represent Wisdom separated from obedience/Love.
