The Prince Must Also Be a Person
A mythic character can carry archetypal depth while remaining particular, embodied, contradictory, and alive. “Prince equals Sonship” is not yet a character. The Prince must desire concrete things, make costly choices, misunderstand others, and change through relationship. Archetype gives depth; personhood prevents the Tale from becoming a diagram.
