Architecture orders space; music orders time; story also gives temporal sequence form. Melody, rhythm, expectation, recurrence, dissonance, and resolution teach the soul to experience duration as meaningful. Visual arts disclose form in space. Music and narrative disclose form through time. Both participate in the divine grammar of order.
