Receive and Create

A dead tradition commands only repetition. A living tradition says: receive and create. Inheritance proves alive when it produces something new that remains faithful to its spirit. The final test of the Royal Art is therefore fruitfulness. Can the received architecture generate stories, songs, images, rituals, and communities that did not exist before?
