Transfiguration Rather Than Escape
The language of exile names real estrangement: the soul can live cut off from source, neighbor, body, and meaning. It need not mean that matter, creation, or ordinary life is evil. The mature Gnostic path refuses both captivity to appearances and contempt for the world. It seeks transfiguration: attention, healing, and action that allow the light to be embodied in time.
