In Valentinian and related Gnostic systems, the Pleroma is the divine fullness: the realm of the Father and the Aeons, where being is whole, luminous, and ordered. The Kenoma, or deficiency, names the lower condition of lack, ignorance, and separation associated with the fallen drama of Sophia and the cosmos beneath the Fullness. These terms do not function identically in every Gnostic text and should not be treated as a universal system.
For the Western Mystery Tradition, Pleroma and Kenoma name the contrast between remembered divine wholeness and the consciousness of exile. Within the Royal Art, they can illuminate the movement from separation to Atonement, provided they remain symbolic and theological maps rather than excuses to deny the reality, dignity, or redemptive meaning of creation.
