Genre as Metaphysical Mode
We have epic, fairy tale, fantasy, comedy, tragedy. But there may be a broader idea: every genre is a way consciousness interprets reality.
Tragedy sees inevitability, loss, and fatal flaw.
Comedy sees restoration, reconciliation, and hidden grace.
Romance sees quest, love, adventure, and noble striving.
Apocalypse sees unveiling and final meaning.
Mystery sees clues, hidden order, and revelation.
Horror sees corruption, shadow, and the monstrous unknown.
Satire sees falsity exposed.
“genre” is not merely literary. It is a metaphysical lens.
