Ignorant people have good intentions and so believe that giving the government more power, money, and permission to “do things” is a good idea. The government is corrupt and inept - and so all the power, money, and permission you give it only makes things worse.
The central delusion is thinking that government can solve problems That government has good intentions That you can solve problems and make the society better from the top down That control, laws, rules, etc. are preferable to freedom
