You have learned your need of healing. ²Would you bring aught else to the Sonship, knowing your need of it yourself? ³For in this lies the beginning of knowledge, the foundation on which God will help you build again the whole thought system which you share with Him. ⁴Not one stone you place upon it but will be blessed by Him, for you will be restoring the holy dwelling place of His Son, where He wills His Son to be and where he is. ⁵In whatever part of the mind of God’s Son you restore this reality, you restore it to yourself. ⁶For you dwell in the Mind of God with your brother, for God Himself did not will to be alone. Are You Building a Temple in Heaven?
Around me, many are building Temples of beauty and wealth But what of a temple in Heaven? Where will you live after death?
Are you building a temple in Heaven To live in when this life is o'er? Will you move to that beautiful city And live with Christ evermore?
So long is the road that leads you To that beautiful land up there Is work on your temple completed? Death may be lingering near
The bit manda (beth manda) is described as biniana rba ḏ-šrara ("the Great building of Truth") and bit tušlima ("house of Perfection") in Mandaean texts such as the Qulasta, Ginza Rabba, and the Mandaean Book of John. The only known literary parallels are in Essene texts from Qumran such as the Community Rule, which has similar phrases such as the "house of Perfection and Truth in Israel" (Community Rule 1QS VIII 9) and "house of Truth in Israel."[91]
