The Heavenly Tablets
The idea of heavenly tablets predates the Bible and is strongest in Mesopotamian and Enochic traditions.
In Sumerian myth, the Tablets of Destiny are cosmic legal instruments. Whoever possesses them holds authority over order, fate, and kingship. They are not moral laws; they are ontological permissions.
In the Hebrew tradition, this becomes the Tablets of the Law, which are explicitly said to be “written by the finger of God.” Later mystical interpretations treat them not as legal codes but as imprints of divine order.
In Enochic literature, heavenly tablets record the deeds, destinies, and cycles of creation. They are archives of reality itself. The Akashic Records
