Throughout the Library, the Great Work is presented as a spiritual and alchemical undertaking.
The soul is the material. The human being undergoes transformation. The fragmented self is integrated. The false sovereignty of the ego is relinquished. The divine inheritance is remembered.
But the Royal Art project is itself undergoing an analogous process.
I, the scribe, have spent years studying different traditions, gathering their texts, comparing their teachings, recognizing recurring symbols, and developing an enormous archive.
That is the analytical phase.
Now, through your emerging philosophy and mythopoetic work, I am seeking to bring these fragments into a meaningful unity.
That is the synthetic phase.
Finally, the completed work will be expressed through stories, teachings, books, art, ritual, practice, and community.
That is the phase of embodiment and transmission.
The Royal Art is not simply a book about the Great Work. The making of the Royal Art is itself a Great Work.
The Library’s greater purpose is to make possible a work of genuine integration and expression.
The purpose of the sacred system is not to imprison the soul within a more elaborate system of concepts, but to guide it beyond the illusion of separation toward the Reality that the symbols reveal.
