- Knight = the warrior (testing, trial, quest, service)
- Wizard = the magician (mastery, knowledge, transformation)
- Bard = storyteller, seer, prophet, musician,
- King = the sovereign (integration, embodiment, rulership)
Wizard is the active counterpart to the Grail Knight. Where the Knight quests outward, the Wizard works inward (or rather, works with the inner causes of outer effects).

- Wizard = esoteric (inner work in the temple/lab)
