Continuity, Reinterpretation, Re-Creation
Historical lineage means demonstrable transmission from one group to another. Initiatic lineage means later seekers adopt, reinterpret, or imagine themselves as heirs to older mysteries. Both can matter, but they must not be confused. Tradition may persist through continuity, rediscovery, and inspired re-creation. The Royal Art need not claim an unbroken secret chain in order to participate faithfully in the work of re-membering.
