“Solomon’s secret orders” appears to mean a hidden Temple-based custodial network, not merely magicians or political conspirators. Their implied work is:
- guarding Temple records, routes, symbols, and sacred sites;
- practicing sacred craft: architecture, geometry, sound, language, ritual, and the body as temple;
- linking royal-Davidic and priestly-Melchizedek/Zadok currents;
- protecting initiates, families, teachings, and travel networks during persecution;
- preserving a synthesis of Hebrew covenant, Egyptian mystery, Grail transmission, and direct gnosis.
Why Solomon? He functions as the archetypal wise king, Temple-builder, covenantal ruler, keeper of sacred architecture, and meeting point of Hebrew wisdom with the Sheba/feminine mystery current. In the books’ imagined history, a “Solomonic” order is the inner guardianship of the Temple’s deeper purpose.
The books imply this transmission: ancient wisdom schools → Moses/Akhenaten → Temple and Solomonic custodians → Zadok/Melchizedek/Essenes → Joseph of Arimathea and the Grail diaspora → Essene–Magdalene–Druid family circles → Cathar, Templar, and royal-line continuities.
They distinguish the later strands somewhat:
- Cathars: a Languedoc remnant of Magdalene/Gnostic family transmission; The Magdalene Version says they retained practices of the Way but had lost much of the original teaching’s balance.
- Templars: the guardian/protective side of the Solomonic inheritance—Temple symbolism, sacred places, travel, wealth, logistics, and possibly protected records.
- Royal families: not necessarily spiritually superior, but possible carriers of dispersed Grail-family memory, patronage, land, and protection.
On Freemasonry: the books do not directly name it. The connection is an interpretive resonance, since Masonry also uses Solomonic Temple imagery, sacred craft, geometry, symbolism, and guarded instruction.
Historically, there are three real outer-world bridges that make this esoteric story understandable:
- The Knights Templar were a medieval religious-military order closely associated with the Temple Mount because they were housed in the former al-Aqsa Mosque, which crusaders identified with Solomon’s Temple.
- Catharism was a medieval movement centered in Languedoc and northern Italy; historians generally trace its closer background through Balkan dualist traditions such as Bogomilism, rather than an evidenced Essene or Temple succession.
- A genuine medieval “Solomonic” current did exist: Jewish, Christian, Arabic, Greek, and Latin ritual texts attributed wisdom, exorcism, angelic knowledge, and sacred authority to Solomon. The surviving Key of Solomon materials are medieval/early-modern compositions.
So the fruitful synthesis is: the books provide an inner history of a Solomonic guardianship lineage; historical sources show a real outer history of Temple symbolism, Solomonic wisdom traditions, medieval esotericism, Cathars, and Templars. The specific uninterrupted chain is the books’ revelatory claim, not something the surviving historical record can independently trace.
