A book can communicate teaching; it cannot by itself form courage, enact death and rebirth, or establish a stable capacity of being. Mystery Schools exist because some truths require preparation, practice, moral formation, symbolic participation, testing, time, and embodiment. Some truths must be undergone before they are truly known.
