Babylon and New Jerusalem
Babylon and New Jerusalem are both woman and city, revealing two civilizational modes of relationship. Babylon commodifies desire through consumption, seduction, luxury, exploitation, domination, and spiritual prostitution. The Bride embodies fidelity, receptivity, communion, sacred marriage, transparency, and glory. The Harlot sells intimacy; the Bride offers communion. The feminine is not automatically sacred: corrupted receptivity becomes market and empire, while restored Sophia becomes the Bridal City.
