The End of the Belief in Separation
The first death can signify the passing of form, body, or egoic identity. The Second Death is the disappearance of the belief in separation itself. The Son is not destroyed; the possibility of mistaking separation for identity is removed. “No more sea” remains a polyvalent mystery. The sea may signify chaos, unconscious depth, threat, or the separation between worlds—the realm from which the Beast rises. The image may suggest that no chaotic abyss remains, without exhausting its strangeness through one fixed decode.
