Diana’s Tears

Diana’s Tears

purified, volatile, lunar Mercury, especially in its aqueous, distillate, or dew-like form.

  • Diana = the Moon
  • Lunar principle = Mercury, moisture, reflection, volatility
  • Tears = distilled drops, dew, condensate

They are “tears” because they descend from above, fall as dew, and are easily lost if not properly received.

Diana’s Tears:

  • a clear, limpid mercurial water
  • often obtained by distillation or cohobation
  • volatile, penetrating, and dissolving
  • capable of dissolving bodies but not yet fixed

Symbolically:

  • the soul in its free, reflective state
  • spiritual moisture before incarnation
  • universal Mercury before determination
