Reading the World Symbolically
Hermetic imagination is neither fantasy nor a flight from reality. It is the disciplined faculty that recognizes correspondences between inner and outer, image and idea, planet and psyche, body and cosmos. When trained by truthfulness, contemplation, and practice, imagination becomes an organ of participation: the visible world is read as symbol without being reduced to mere projection.
