What Government Really Is
Statism (or archonism, "belief in rulers") is the morally-inconsistent belief that there can be such a thing as legitimate "authority" — the right to initiate violence to enforce authoritarian rules.
It is also the illusion, or delusion, that one can delegate a right that oneself does not have — the right to rule — to a 3rd party called a political party, in memetically-consolidated mind-control rituals of acquiescence called "democratic elections".
Government is (the illusion of) the institutionalized, outsourced, sanctioned "authority" to commit violence against individuals. The violence and violent coercion is real; the illusion is that its "authority" is legitimate because its subjects are given the illusion of choice, thus that there is "consent of the governed".
The Belief in Government: A Religious Cult
Most people have been indoctrinated into a religious belief system about government. Statism is a religion. It is a belief system not founded in reality.
People treat government like their parent, will keep them safe from the bad guys, will take care of you and keep you safe.
People deeply believe in the reality of government. It is a religious cult belief system.
"None are deeply enslaved as those who falsely believe that they are free."
The idea, the illusion, of government was a genius idea by the archons, the controllers to keep humanity enslaved and actually make them even more enslaved by allowing them to falsely believe that they are free and that they are their government.
Free Range slavery.
Government = Slavery
"Anarchy is no guarantee that some people won't kill, injure, kidnap, defraud or steal from others. Government is a guarantee that some will."
- Gustave de Molinari
Man made laws are not voluntary in any way. They are commands of compliance, which are always backed by the threat of violence, if not out-right violent behavior.
Man made laws are arbitrary decrees of a ruling class, calling themselves government who are believed to possess a magical right to rule their subjects.
Understanding that such a system is entirely based in behavior that is coercive, violent and immoral. That this entire Machine system is designed to bring human behavior into compliance with the will of a dominating ruling class, we can arrive at the simple undeniable truth that government is slavery.
Government Doesn't Exist: The Illusion of Authority
Government Doesn't Exist
It's not that I believe that governments shouldn't exist.
It's that I know that they don't exist
And never have
- except in the minds of the masses.
Government has no legitimacy, no authority, and no true reality —
It only appears to because my asleep and hypnotized brothers and sisters
believe in and participate in government and therefore acquiesce to their own enslavement.
Only a Matter of Belief
Belief in Government is the only thing keeping it alive.
Government Itself and the idea that we need it IS the problem.
"Slavery was never abolished, it was just extended to include everyone."
The belief that political rituals give them the right to rule. Nothing gives them the true right to rule. Government is a false, illusory cult belief - belief that a group can have authority.
"Government is slavery."
- Mark Passio
Government & Authority Don't Exist
Government & Authority Don't exist.
They only exist in the mind of the obedient and oppressed.
They have no reality other than peoples belief and perception of its existence.
There is nothing Objectively Real, Truthful about it.
It is a phenomenon of belief.
Authority and Government CANNOT exist.
They are out of alignment with Natural Law, with Objective Truth and Reality.
Authority is a negation of truth, reality, freedom.
It is a negation of the individual spirit.
Do Not Fight That Which Does Not Exist
There is no need to fight governments, states, authorities - only recognize that they cannot exist, they have never existed, and they never will exist.
By fighting against it you only strengthen and sustain it.
Rather, ignore it. Live your life without fear or resistance against it.
Countries don't exist.
Nations don't exist.
Manmade laws don't exist - only those that violate Natural Law.
Crimes don't exist - except those that violate Natural Law.
Statism: The Great Fiction
Conceptually, the idea of government is, as Frédéric Bastiat most eloquently put it, "the great fiction, through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else."
To be GOVERNED is to be watched, inspected, spied upon, directed, law-driven, numbered, regulated, enrolled, indoctrinated, preached at, controlled, checked, estimated, valued, censured, commanded, by creatures who have neither the right nor the wisdom nor the virtue to do so. To be GOVERNED is to be at every operation, at every transaction noted, registered, counted, taxed, stamped, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, authorized, admonished, prevented, forbidden, reformed, corrected, punished. It is, under pretext of public utility, and in the name of the general interest, to be placed under contribution, drilled, fleeced, exploited, monopolized, extorted from, squeezed, hoaxed, robbed; then, at the slightest resistance, the first word of complaint, to be repressed, fined, vilified, harassed, hunted down, abused, clubbed, disarmed, bound, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, derided, outraged, dishonored. That is government; that is its justice; that is its morality.
— Pierre-Joseph Proudhon
Briefly, the State is that organization in society which attempts to maintain a monopoly of the use of force and violence in a given territorial area; in particular, it is the only organization in society that obtains its revenue not by voluntary contribution or payment for services rendered but by coercion.
— Murray N. Rothbard, The Anatomy of the State
"Statism is the utopian ideal that just the right amount of violence used by just the right people in just the right way can perfect society."
- Keith Hamburger
"The state represents violence in a concentrated and organized form. The Individual has a soul, but as the state is a soulless machine, it can never be weaned from violence to which it owes its very existence."
- Mahatma Gandhi
The Three Ways to Organize Society
- "The minority should rule the majority"
- "The majority should rule the minority"
- "Everyone should rule themselves, as long as they do not initiate physical force, fraud, or theft against others"
One small group of people has power over the rest of people — Oligarchy
The majority has power over the minority — "Democracy" - yet, it turns into an oligarchy anyway. And a tyranny of the majority at best…
Individual liberty, non-aggression principle - no violence, theft, coercion. Each person is sovereign.

The State: Etymology and Nature
"The State" - denotes a fixed point of being. Everything in life must be alive and changing. The State is wrong because it is violent, it is coercive, it is against nature.
The word state and its cognates ultimately derive from the Latin word status, meaning "condition, circumstances". Latin status derives from stare, "to stand," or remain or be permanent, thus providing the sacred or magical connotation of the political entity.
The Status Quo
The State is the status quo. That is all The State is. It exists to keep the status quo, to keep the ruling class in power. To keep things in a fixed state.
It is a structure. It serves to organize and shape things. To take something amorphous and fix it into place.
Everything other than The State exists in a state of anarchy. Nature itself exists in a state of anarchy that contains within it both chaos and order.
The State Exists As Its Own Entity
The Government is the collection of individuals and positions that make it up. But the State is that entity that exists beyond even that. The Government is merely the administrative bureaucracy that controls the state apparatus at a given time. The State is an incorporeal idea that is served by a continuous succession of different governments.
The President or Prime Minister is not the leader of the State. The State has no leader, for it is an inhuman blob. It is its own entity that wishes to preserve itself and continue to absorb other beings and institutions to perpetuate its existence.
The State is an idea, an egregore, a psychic entity that takes on a life of its own through the collective belief and energy projected towards it by hundreds of millions of individuals over decades and centuries.
The State Serves the Least Among Us
It was realized long ago that government and the entity of The State is the most effective way to enslave humanity. That you could make people believe that they were free while keeping them in a free-range prison.
The Government is always seized upon by the most sociopathic, psychopathic, immoral, and power-greedy people. It provides the perfect vehicle for them to rise to power, the ideal organization that allows them to accrue power under the guise of the public good.
The State is Maintained Only Through Violent Force
Without violent force, the State would immediately cease to exist. Without taxes, state police, propaganda, and indoctrination, and without war, it would dissolve.
Government is only kept in a state of perpetual permanence through daily violence and theft. Violence is the lifeblood of government. As it is said: "War is the health of the State".
Political Power & The Game of Politics
People march and protest, vote, write articles and make videos - all trying to ask the government politely to change, all trying to make small adjustments of the furniture.
They don't realize that by believing and participating they are losing. That it is a game that is set up so that if you play, you've already lost.
Politics is the most disempowering game.
Outright authoritarian slavery does not work so you must make the people believe that they are voting for their rulers and that they have choice.
Every time the slaves become restless and start muttering about true revolution and liberation, the masters divert their energies into political theatre, into the illusion that they are making changes and getting what they want.
Government has been the single greatest obstacle to our freedom and sovereignty because it has redirected and hijacked all of our energies towards this false illusionary disempowering game.
The Deep Belief in Statism
It is such a deep belief system that a large majority of people have never questioned the legitimacy of government at all. It has never even occurred to question the total idea of government and whether it is necessary.
They start with the false-premise that government is inevitable and necessary, and then try to rearrange things to make that government good. They have been indoctrinated into a cult belief system. An unquestioning belief in the reality and necessity of government.
People think we need different politicians or a different political party or a different political system. Not realizing that it is government itself that is the problem. Authority itself. Belief in government, belief in authority.
The Power of the People
The people have the power. We have all the power. But we don't know it. We think we need to play by the rules of the system.
All we need to do is come together en masse, united in a common vision.
Belief is all important. If everyone stopped believing in government, it would be gone today. If even just 10% of America stopped believing in government, complying with laws and taxes, then the American government could be taken down.
All it takes is a critical mass of individuals who realize the truth of Natural Law, of Anarchy. All it takes is a certain percentage of the population refusing to comply and creating their own self-sufficient communities.
"When enough people understand reality, tyrants can literally be ignored out of existence. They can't ever be voted out of existence."
- Larken Rose
"When the government fears the people, that is freedom, when the people fear the government, that is tyranny."
- Thomas Jefferson
"A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have."
- Thomas Jefferson
